Shawn Bailey, born in 1994 in Syracuse, New York, and currently based in Bloomington, Indiana, is a multidisciplinary artist working with video, fiber, and performance. They create large-scale video installations and silk fiber wall sculptures printed with 3D renders, using the same materials as costumes and sculptural elements in their video performances. Their work examines the material nature of knowledge, how it is formed and transmitted, and the limits of systems that attempt to define or measure life, death, and the unknown.
